Hearts on Fire

I started working in student ministry when I was 17 years old volunteering at FBC Sevierville, TN.  Scott Carter, the youth pastor, became my best friend and mentor.  I learned so much about doing your own events and student evangelism from him.  25 years ago, he started a youth conference in East Tennessee with less than 200 people.  Today that conference has over 9000 people coming to the Gatlinburg Convention Center.  One of the great things God has allowed me to do was work on Hearts on Fire for 5 years as a volunteer and paid intern during my days at FBCS.  We saw thousands of people saved through this conference.  To this day, some of the most important lessons and things I’ve learned in ministry happened because of HOF.

This weekend, Hearts on Fire is going on the road to Branson, Missouri.  They have 400 plus students and adult leaders registered, but I’m sure will have a few more at the door.  David Nasser, Kristian Stanfill, 33 Miles, and Tony Nolan will all be at HOF Branson this weekend.  You can find out more about HOF Branson & Gatlinburg here.
