Last night our family went to Truett’s Luau and to see the lights at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. The highlight of the night was driving through a tunnel of Christmas lights to go on to the race track. My 13 month old got so excited. Her eyes lite up and she started laughing. She was amazed at the lights. There was a sense of wonder in her that was wonderful for us to see. The type of excitement and wonder that you pay big money to see at Disney World.
I pray she keeps that sense of joy, amazement, and wonder. I know the wonder of Christmas lights will fade, but I hope she keeps her wonder of what God is doing in her life.
I hope that everything that happens to her isn’t explainable. May God show her things that are beyond science and reason. I pray He continues to surprise all of us with His plan for our lives. May we have that sense of wonder when looking at how He has saved and changed us.
5 Many, Lord my God,
are the wonders you have done,
the things you planned for us.
None can compare with you;
were I to speak and tell of your deeds,
they would be too many to declare.
